Intro
The Venice Half Marathon offers the same special atmosphere as the full marathon, but over 21.1 kilometers. The start is at Piazza Ferretto in Mestre, after which the course runs through wide roads and the green Parco San Giuliano towards the lagoon.
After crossing via the Ponte della Libertà, you reach the historic center of Venice. Here the scenery changes completely: cobblestones, bridges and narrow streets make for a unique running experience. The finish on Riva Sette Martiri, along the waterfront, makes this half marathon extra special.
The course is mostly flat and therefore suitable for a nice finishing time, while the surroundings provide an experience you won't find anywhere else.
