Intro
The Venice 10K starts at San Giuliano Park and is the final segment of the marathon course. After starting in Mestre, runners cross the Ponte della Libertà, a 4 km bridge that takes them directly to the new port and, most importantly, to Venice’s historic center. This is undoubtedly the most spectacular section of the course. The route is flat and fast, with the only challenge being the cobblestones, covering most of the last 3 km. Highlights include the temporary bridge over the Grand Canal (170 meters long) and the 2 km stretch along the Giudecca Canal.
