The expo will be held at IFEMA Madrid. On both Friday, April 24 and Saturday, April 25, you are welcome from 10:00 am to 8:00 pm.

Trail info

The marathon is not completely flat: the total elevation gain is 160 metres, with 80 metres to overcome within the first 4 kilometres. Below you can see the course map.

Intro

The Madrid Marathon is part of the popular Rock 'n' Roll Marathon Series and is the largest marathon in Spain. This race combines sports, music and culture in a lively marathon weekend.

The course takes you past highlights such as the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium, Plaza de Castilla and the green Casa de Campo. The finish line is at the Fuente de Neptuno, right in the center of the city.

With a varied course and plenty of entertainment along the route, Madrid is an excellent choice for those who want to run a marathon in a festive and energetic setting. The half marathon and 10 km are also part of the program.

The Claridge Hotel enjoys a central location, right next to Conde de Casal metro station and Plaza del Conde Casal, just a 10-minute walk from Retiro Park. Its strategic position makes it easy to explore the city, while Retiro Park is the perfect spot for a warm-up ahead of Sunday’s race. Thanks to the nearby metro, both the start of the marathon, half marathon or 10 km and the finish are easily accessible, each only half an hour from the hotel. The Claridge’s rooms are comfortable and well equipped, offering runners not only an excellent location but also the comfort needed to be fully prepared for race day. They feature comfortable beds, a bathroom with shower and a television. Guests also have free access to the hotel’s large gym, which, with its 1500 m² and more than 200 facilities, is a true paradise for sports enthusiasts. You will fly to Madrid and make your own way to the Claridge Hotel (****). Since the Expo is located near the airport, we recommend collecting your race bib right away. In the evening, you can enjoy the atmosphere of Madrid by strolling through one of the city’s many squares and enjoying some tapas.

Buenos días Madrid. After breakfast, you can fill in today as you wish. On this day the starting ticket must be picked up, but beyond that there is enough time left to do something fun. Like visiting the Parque del Buen Retiro! One of the most famous parks in Madrid, where you can pleasantly seclude yourself. The magnificent ceiling of the Catedral de la Almudena is also well worth seeing!

Race day has arrived! Are you ready? Take on this beautiful 10K, half marathon, or marathon through the heart of Madrid. At the finish line, you’ll hopefully take home not only a wonderful medal, but also an unforgettable experience! In the evening, celebrate your achievement with a drink at one of the many rooftop bars in the city, such as the Círculo de Bellas Artes, where you’ll enjoy a breathtaking view over Madrid — the city you ran through today.
