Intro

A legendary and mythical race: this is the Loch Ness Marathon without a doubt. Participants set off from Fort Augustus and head towards the finish line in Inverness. The first 10 kilometres include a descent of no less than 300 metres, after which the race continues along Loch Ness, world-famous for the legends of its mysterious creature. Most of the course winds through beautiful natural surroundings, before runners receive a warm welcome in Inverness. Alongside the marathon, a 10K race is also available.
