Intro

With a whopping 1,829 vertical meters, the Jungfrau Marathon is an exceptional and legendary mountain marathon. The course is often called "the most beautiful marathon route in the world," and those who run here understand immediately why.

The start is in Interlaken at 565 meters above sea level. From there you climb steadily uphill, with constant views of imposing peaks such as the Eiger, Mönch and, of course, the Jungfrau. The finish is on the Kleine Scheidegg, at 2,095 meters above sea level, an unforgettable arrival in the middle of the high mountains.

The marathon takes place in September and attracts some 4,000 participants from all over the world. This is not a race for a personal record, but an ultimate challenge for lovers of mountains, nature and perseverance.
