Intro
Known as one of the flattest marathons in Europe, the Seville Marathon is the place to be for those looking to set a fast time. The course has hardly any elevation change and runs on wide, fast roads right through the Andalusian capital.
Along the way, you pass sights such as the Plaza de España, the Torre del Oro and the Maria Luisa Park. The mix of historic architecture, open boulevards and an enthusiastic crowd makes for an ideal combination of atmosphere and speed.
The marathon takes place in February, when temperatures are often between 8 and 18°C - perfect conditions for a personal record. Seville is fast, atmospheric and superbly organized: an absolute must for ambitious marathon runners.
