Intro

The Hyundai Portugal Half Marathon takes place in October, at the same time as the marathon, and annually attracts more than 18,000 runners from around the world. This popular half marathon is known for its lively atmosphere, fast course and impressive start and finish locations, making it one of the most attractive races in Europe.

The start takes place on the iconic Vasco da Gama Bridge, which connects north and south Lisbon. The course then takes runners through city streets, past modern neighborhoods and historic landmarks such as the Padrão dos Descobrimentos and the beautiful Belém district. Along the way, runners can enjoy wide roads, gentle descents and flat stretches, ideal for constant speed and a personal record.

Along the course, musical performances and enthusiastic spectators create a festive atmosphere. With pleasant autumn temperatures around 16-20°C, an international field of participants and the varied, gently sloping course, the Hyundai Portugal Half Marathon is an unforgettable experience for both competitive runners and lovers of the city and its scenery. It is a perfect opportunity to discover Lisbon both athletically and in a unique way.
