Intro

Past editions of the Budapest Marathon have shown that the Hungarian capital is the perfect place to run and aim for great times. The SPAR Budapest Marathon course crosses both sides of the city, winds along the scenic banks of the Danube on wide boulevards, and takes runners right into the vibrant city centre. With over 30,000 participants from more than 85 countries, the marathon weekend has become a must for runners from all over the world. The race passes by the city’s most iconic landmarks and includes exciting stretches across the Danube. And with plenty of live music points along the route, running in Budapest turns into a true celebration! Think the marathon distance is too much? No worries: you can also choose the 30 km or the 10 km, scheduled on Saturday.
