Intro
The SPAR Budapest Marathon has developed into a leading international running event in recent years, with more than 30,000 participants from over 85 countries during the marathon weekend. The course is known for its fast nature and beautiful route through both parts of the Hungarian capital.
You run along wide boulevards and several times along the Danube, with impressive passages over the famous Ketel Bridge. Along the way, you pass iconic locations such as the Hungarian Parliament, Heroes' Square and Buda Castle. The alternation between historic architecture and open river landscapes makes every kilometer special.
