Intro
The Wizz Air Budapest Half Marathon is a highly regarded autumn event that brings together thousands of runners from over 80 countries every year. In a relaxed and international atmosphere, you will discover the charm of the Hungarian capital, divided between the Buda and Pest districts, while running.
The course largely runs along the banks of the Danube and offers magnificent views of the imposing Hungarian Parliament and the historic Ketel Bridge, among others. The wide roads and relatively flat profile make the course attractive to both recreational runners and participants aiming for a fast time.
The half marathon takes place in September, when temperatures average 12-20°C and are very pleasant. The combination of culture, history and an enthusiastic crowd makes the Budapest Half Marathon an atmospheric and memorable running experience in Central Europe.
