Intro
Like many things in the Czech Republic, the origin of the Prague Marathon is a legendary story. The course was sketched in 1994 on a simple napkin, over a beer, with the idea of creating a new tradition. And without doubt, that goal was achieved!
Beyond being a beautiful historic city full of charm and attractions, Prague is also the perfect stage for setting a new personal best. The Prague Marathon course has very little elevation gain and runs through the historic city centre, along both banks of the Vltava, and across the famous Charles Bridge.
This course therefore gives runners the opportunity to enjoy all the beauty the city has to offer while they run. And at the finish line, a special reward awaits – traditional Czech beer!
