Intro
The Prague Marathon has legendary origins: the course was designed on a napkin in 1994, with the idea of starting a new tradition. Since then, this marathon has become a top international event.
The relatively flat course runs through the old city center, along both banks of the Vltava River and across the famous Charles Bridge. Along the way, you are surrounded by Gothic towers, colorful facades and historic squares.
The marathon takes place in May, with generally ideal temperatures around 10-18°C. Traditional Czech beer awaits at the finish line - a unique reward after 42.195 kilometers through one of Europe's most beautiful cities.
